| Title: | Part-time Lab Analyst |
| Description: | The Town of Pinedale is seeking a
candidate for a part-time, non-exempt
Lab Analyst (LA).
Under the direction of the Water and
Waste-water Supervisor, the Lab Analyst
(LA) performs technical and
administrative work conducting mandatory
sampling and analysis of water and
wastewater.
• Analyst will perform
microbiological tests with minimal
supervision.
• The analyst will acquire and
maintain training acceptable to USEPA
Region 8 in microbiological analysis of
drinking water
• Prior to analyzing compliance
samples, the analyst will demonstrate
acceptable results on unknown samples.
• Analyst will conduct scheduled
testing and prepare subsequent reports.
• Position will coordinate with
internal and external clients to
complete necessary testing and reporting
of water samples.
• Position will maintain
consistent, scheduled sample receiving
hours for the public.
Requirements
• Possess, at minimum, a high
school education.
• Laboratory experience is
preferred but not required. Any college
course work in biology or microbiology
will be given additional consideration.
• Candidates should be proficient
in Microsoft products including
Microsoft Word and Excel and have
general computer literacy.
• Candidates should demonstrate
the ability to
o assess and solve complex
problems
o remain calm under pressure and
prioritize work tasks
o interact professionally and
successfully with the public and co-
workers
o communicate clearly and
concisely, both orally and in writing
The position is expected to work 24
hours per week. The compensation package
includes a contribution to the Wyoming
