Description:We have an outstanding opportunity for a Ranch Hand on a beautiful 1,300-acre ranch in Little Jackson Hole, Wyoming, surrounded by the Bridger-Teton National Forest. We seek professionals who appreciate the ranch lifestyle, don’t mind hard work, and have experience with ranch operations.

Position Summary: The Ranch Hand is responsible for performing a wide range of duties related to the upkeep and maintenance of the ranch, including both seasonal and daily responsibilities. This role ensures the smooth operation of the ranch, upkeep of the properties on the ranch, contributing to the overall guest experience and property management.

Reports To: Ranch Manager

Key Responsibilities:
Winter Duties:

- Maintain and repair heating systems to ensure efficient operation.
- Perform snow removal from driveways, walkways, and other areas as needed.
- Winterize homes and buildings to protect against cold weather.
- Apply tarps to hay to prevent drying out.
- Maintain and store patio furniture properly.
- Assist with feeding bison daily and help ensure the well-being of all ranch animals

Summer Duties:
- Maintain and repair irrigation systems and sprinklers.
- Perform general home improvements including painting and sheetrock work.
- Power wash buildings and surfaces as needed.
- Assist with fence installation, maintenance, and landscaping needs.
- Remove pests and manage garbage disposal.
- Ensure guest satisfaction by providing a welcoming and pleasant environment.
- Utilize fishing experience to assist guests staying in short-term rental properties.

General Maintenance Duties:
- Perform regular maintenance and repairs on ranch equipment and facilities.
- Assist with upkeep and improvements to ranch properties, buildings and grounds.
- Address any maintenance issues promptly and efficiently.

Additional Responsibilities:
- Support other projects assigned by the Ranch Manager.
- Collaborate with other ranch staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Organize and maintain ranch buildings, pastures, barns, and roads.
- Demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in ranch work or a similar role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and lift/carry a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Basic knowledge of fencing repair.
- Ability to work in challenging weather conditions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience operating large machinery.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of various heating systems, irrigation, and general maintenance tasks.
- A collaborative and selfless attitude.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Cooperative demeanor and cheerful outlook.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
- Experience in fishing and assisting guests is a plus.

Work Environment: This position involves working outdoors in various weather conditions. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed is required.
