March 1 deadline to renew Wyoming brands

The Wyoming Livestock Board reminds Wyoming brand owners that ALL Wyoming brands must be renewed by Tuesday, March 1, 2005. Brand owners should have received a notice in the mail to renew, however the Livestock Board reports that many were returned due to address changes.
Any brand renewals received by the Wyoming Livestock Board after March 1 will be abandoned or cancelled. After March 1, all brands not renewed must be applied for and researched statewide just as any brand would be. There is no guarantee former brand owners will ever get their original brand back once it is dropped. No transfers or name changes can be made to any brand in the state until the renewal fees are paid. If you or someone you know owns a livestock brand and has not received a brand renewal notice to renew, please call the Wyoming Livestock Board at 307-777-7515 (option 2) to check your address.
