Trig Star Champ Ben Gunn and Mark Eatinger

Mark Eatinger, from sponsoring company Rio Verde Engineering, congratulated Ben Gunn for being awarded TRIG-STAR for the 2004/2005 school year. A TRIG-STAR demonstrates through a series of timed exercises that he or she is the most skilled in the practical application of trigonometry. Gunn, who wants to major in mining engineering in college, placed third statewide competition. He tied for the highest score with the third fastest time. His classmates, Logan Maclean and Leslie Steele, tied for second in the Pinedale competition. The test is very difficult, according to Shane Costello, the trigonometry teacher.
