Fishing Hatch Report
Green River & Meadow Lake

The fishing hatch report is courtesy of professional fishing guide, John Ross, of Two Rivers Emporium in Pinedale.
Green River: The Green River has come way down and is fishing very good on the forest area. streamers like Cowboy Joe’s are working great. There are a lot of stone flies breaking loose on the bottom of the river, and the Cowboy Joe is the best pattern to imitate these. Don’t the river fool you, there is plenty more water to come.
Meadow Lake: Meadow lake is another great choice now. The Game & Fish are done spawing the grayling and their reports are great. There are a lot of grayling over 15 inches. This does not happen very often on Meadow Lake. Grayling just don’t get very big here. Try Zug Bugs or Prince Nymphs for good results on the lake.
We should start seeing some stone flies and caddis on the surface in the next week or two. It seems like our water temperatures need to reach 55 degrees or so before hatches really start and fish start looking up. Get out and fish!!
