Forest Service sells firewood permits

Firewood permits are now available for those wishing to gather wood from the Bridger-Teton National Forest for their winter fuel. Permits are available at the local District offices during regular business hours. Cost is $5/cord, with a minimum purchase of $20. Individuals may purchase up to 10 chords per year for personal use. Firewood gathers may harvest down or standing dead wood only. All wood gathered must be kept to a length of 8 feet or less.
