Hatch Report - July 16th
by Fishing Guide John Ross
July 16, 2005
The fishing hatch report is courtesy of professional fishing guide, John Ross, of Two Rivers Emporium Orvis Fly Shop in Pinedale.
Green & New Fork Rivers The Green and New Fork Rivers are still a little high, but they are both fishing great. There are good strong hatches of Gray Drakes in the mornings and Yellow Sallies in the afternoons. We are starting to see a few Hoppers around ant trout a starting to look up for bigger bugs on the surface.
Small Streams The small area streams are clearing up and fishing well, Caddis and hoppers are the best bet. For you folks that are fishing for the cutt-slam, the Cottonwood Creeks are both fishing great.
Alpine Lakes All the alpine lakes are really turning on for those of you headed to the hills. Caddis in the mornings and Hoppers in the afternoons is the mainstay.
Go out and enjoy our short but sweet summers in Sublette County! John Ross
