Pinedale Homecoming Weekend
Go Wranglers!
September 14, 2005
It’s Homecoming Weekend for Pinedale High School! There are lots of events planned at the school including swimming, volleyball and the big football game against the Shoshoni Wranglers.
The Homecoming Parade will be on Friday. The parade starts at noon on the west end of town next to A to Z Hardware and will move east down Pine Street/Hwy 191, ending at Faler’s. For those who are new in town, here’s a heads up that the parade closes down Pine Street through town for about an hour, so plan an alternate route through town if you can’t watch and don’t want to get caught up in it.
The school is coordinating the parade and would love to have more float entries. Anyone who still would like to enter a float, please contact Nancy McGuire over at the High School (307-367-2137 ext. 287) as soon as possible. The theme for the parade is “Candy”, and there will be the usual cars for Homecoming Royalty, the High School Marching Band and student floats. Sublette County businesses are welcome to enter the parade to help support the High School and Homecoming events.
The High School is also encouraging Pinedale businesses to go all out and support the Wranglers by decorating for Homecoming! They will be judging and giving monetary awards for the best decorated business! Pinedale school colors are green and white (Office Outlet has green & white tempera paint for window painting, and Faler’s still has a few rolls of green & white crepe paper ribbon). Please call the school soon to let them know you want to enter in the decorating contest so they will come by and judge your business. Judging will be at 8:30 on Friday morning, so decorations should be in place and ready by then.
