Editor’s Note: We get many wonderful e-mails from people telling us what they like about Pinedale. Here are some that have come in recently. Thank you to everyone who has written about their trips, and shared photos they’ve taken of the area. We love hearing from you!
---------------------------------------- "Two of the most wonderful years of me and my families lives were spent in Pinedale from 2002-2004. I was in the Air Force and was stationed for a two year tour in Boulder. Like most visitors we instantly fell in love with the scenic views, wildlife and outdoor recreation. But what is really great about Pinedale is the people who live there and have lived there most if not all of their lives. Invariably small towns are not easy to be a stranger in but it didn't take long for us to be accepted in the community. When a family moves to a new area, the most important concerns parents have is for their children's safety and education. I can't think of a safer place for children to grow up with little fear of common big city problems and the school was absolutely terrific. The kids loved going to school in Pinedale and still talk about their teachers today. When my tour was over in Boulder, I was sent to Wright-Patterson AFB in Ohio. Moving to Ohio after living in Pinedale was like kissing Phyllis Diller after having dinner with Raquel Welch. We now live in Tennessee and I have since retired from the military but we still check on things in Pinedale by visiting your web page. Although it's been awhile since we have written, we still have friends in Pinedale and we think of them often. Hence this letter to you all. We will always hold Pinedale close to our hearts with very fond memories and I hope we get a chance to visit you again." - Sincerely, Jack Glasser, jrglasser@cafes.net (friends, please write back)

"I’ve been to Pinedale Several times in my life to hike the Wind River range. I have been to many wilderness areas in the lower 48 and I still think Bridger is the most spectacular. Not only have the mountains been spectacular but so has Pinedale. The people are great, I really enjoyed the relaxed attitude and the kind folks we met." - G.J., Iowa

"Am an oldtimer now and the best times of my life were spent around Pinedale. Scouting at New Fork Lakes and Jim Bridger Mountain Man Hikes. Grew up in Rock Springs and now living in Des Moines, Iowa. Now a grandpa seven times over. Hope to get back at least one more time." - R.R., Iowa
