Winter Storm Warning through Friday
Heavy snow Thursday through Friday in the Upper Green River Valley

Pinedale) The National Weather Service out of Riverton has issued a Winter Storm Warning for western Wyoming and the Upper Green River Valley. Heavy snow is expected to develop by Thursday morning, and will be come heavy at times across the area through Friday morning. Snow is expected to decrease by Friday afternoon.
Six to eight inches of snowfall is possible in the Pinedale and Boulder areas. Twelve to 16 inches of snow may fall on the Wind River Mountains.
Big Piney could see around 6 inches of snowfall, which will decrease to around 2 inches in the Rock Springs area.
A strong Pacific storm system will bring heavy snow Thursday through Friday morning, with the heaviest snowfall in the Wind River Mountains. The Winter Storm Warning is in effect until noon on Friday. Strong winds are also possible with this system, creating hazardous driving conditions due to blowing and drifting snow and limited visibility at times. According to the National Weather Service, "This will make travel very hazardous or impossible." Hazardous weather will impact western and central Wyoming.
