Kathy MacKay of Daniel raced in the 6-dog race under Daniel rancher Bob Beard's Turtle brand. MacKay was one of the organizers of this year's Rondy. She placed 2nd overall in the 6-dog race.

Doug Willet got off to a fast start on Saturday. He came from Seely Lake, Montana, to compete in the Rondy. Willet raced under the Bar Lazy W brand of the Little Jenny Ranch in Bondurant.

Fun for kids too
The kids played in the snow while waiting for the mushers to return to the finish line.

Family Fun
Families brought the kids out to watch the sled dog race too. Everyone bundled up for warmth, and some of the little tykes even got a free sled ride.

Sled dogs on trail
No cattle this time of year, but sled dog racers did share the trail with snowmobilers. The Rondy course was on a portion of the Continental Divide Snowmobile Trail in the Upper Green.

Snowboarding the Green
Snowboarding down was easy, but getting back up the steep hill got pretty tiring after a few runs for this young man as he waiting for the sled dog teams to return.

Even crashing was fun
He didn't even mind crashing at the bottom of the hill!

Snowmobilers shared the trail with the sled dog teams, being very careful when racers approached. The race was held along the Continental Divide Snowmobile Trail.
