Chuckwagon Chug
The 4th of July started off early with the Chuckwagon Chug, 5 or 10K Walk or Run, based out of the Big Piney High School parking lot.

Everyone who participated in the early morning Chuckwagon Chug got an event t-shirt. Gudrid Espenscheid organized the Chug, now in its fourth year.

Chuckwagon Days Parade
The Chuckwagon Days parade went along Budd Avenue in downtown Big Piney. Kids scrambled from the sidelines to pick up candy thrown out from the floats.

Big Piney Traffic Jam
After the parade, main street in Big Piney actually had a traffic jam! This is so rare we had to take a picture of it! Scooter Culbertson quipped, "Reminds me of being back home in Houston!"

After the parade, everyone headed to the Fairgrounds for the Chuckwagon Days beef BBQ.

Eating and Socializing
One of the fun parts of Chuckwagon Days each year is visiting with friends that haven't been seen for a long time.

Jake Foster stayed in with the bull and got banged around a bit, but ultimately grabbed the ribbon from the horn to win the Scramble $400 prize.

Dyson Smith hung up
Bull rider Dyson Smith got hung up in his rigging at the end of his ride and was drug around by the bull, getting pinned between the bull and the chute fence.

After being pinned and rolled on by the bull, Dyson Smith got stepped on.

The bull out of the way, EMTs were called and quickly ran to the downed cowboy.
