Amy David (15) and Jayne Thompson (15) of Pinedale received top honors this week in the Discovery Channel’s Young Scientist Challenge. They spent five days in Washington, D.C. competing against students from across the country. David and Thompson did a joint project, as well as competed individually during the week of challenges. David received an overall third place award and a $5,000 Scholarship.
