BLM Slash/Pile burn on Friday, Jan. 19

The Pinedale BLM will conduct a slash pile burn on Friday, January 19, in the Hoback Ranches subdivision area.
“The recent snow and precipitation make for a great opportunity to burn the slash pile that remains from the fuel reduction projects conducted this past fall,” said Greg Reser, Fuels Specialist for the Pinedale BLM.
“We want to remove this pile before it dries out and creates a safety hazard for the people in Sublette County.”
No roads or interruptions in traffic flow into and out of the Hoback Rnches subdivision are expected. There should not be any problems with visibility; however, the local population can expect to see some smoke for several days after the burn.
