(Pinedale) If you are a bowhunter, or want to learn more about bowhunting, there is a Bowhunter Education Course being offered in Pinedale.
The bowhunter course is scheduled for Saturday, February 17, 2007 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, at the Wind River Archers indoor range. The range is located upstairs at the Pinedale Ice Rink. The Ice Rink is a couple blocks south of Wind River Pizzeria which is on US 191 on the west end of Pinedale.
The class will take place from 8 AM to 5 PM, with one hour for lunch. The Wind River Archers will be providing lunch. Pre-registration is required for the class and there is no fee to receive the certification card.
Class coordinator, Steve Martin, says a portion of the class will take place outside and students should wear comfortable footgear and dress for the weather. "We give the students an opportunity to track an animal in varying terrain so the class is more hands-on," said Martin.
The bowhunter education class is not required to bowhunt in Wyoming, but it teaches a lot of great skills regarding bowhunting, for the beginner and experienced bowhunter alike. For more information, or to pre-register for the course, call Steve Martin at: 1-307-362-2599.
