Preference Period Dates Changed for Bear Bait Registration

Black bear hunters who want to use baits for the upcoming bear seasons are advised that dates for registering bait sites have changed from previous years.
Persons who had bait sites registered the previous calendar year will have a preference period of March 1st to March 20th to register the same site. In previous years, the period for this preference registration was March 15th to March 31st.
Following the preference period, registration of unclaimed bait sites will be accepted in person at any Game and Fish regional office, beginning at 8:00 AM., Monday, April 2nd.
