The Sublette County Sheriff’s Office sent out the following news release on Tuesday, February 20th:

"On Saturday, February 17, 2007, at approximately 21:16 hours (9:16 PM), Sublette County Deputies and Investigations responded to 40 Hay Meadow Lane for a machinery accident. It was learned upon arrival that Lance E. Koppenhafer, 44 years old, of Pinedale, had received severe internal injuries while operating farm equipment. Mr. Koppenhafer was pronounced dead at the scene from massive trauma to the chest area."
