Summer Mountain Biking
White Pine Ski Area and Resort offers challenging trails
April 23, 2007
Sublette County offers endless tracks and trails for mountain biking fans. Chances are that any ride you take will feature stunning scenery, wildlife viewing ad more. Consider that Wyoming's total population is less than half a million people, and you will understand why so many visitors to our state come here seeking nature and the varied landscape that Wyoming offers.
During the summer, White Pine Ski Area & Resort transforms from winter skiing to their summer season where mountain bikers can find challenging riding down special biking trails down the mountain. The ski lift winter chairs are swapped out with specially outfitted chairs that can accommodate mountain bikers and their bikes.
These lift-served trails have been attracting riders for over three years. Each new season brings expanded trails and improvements to the fast downhill slopes. The single track riding is some of the best in the West. The year 'round resort has a complete base facility with retail and rental gear, full food and beverage service and lodging. The knowledgeable staff at White Pine Ski & Sport in the base lodge can help answer questions about gear and best places to ride for the skill level and the biking experience rider’s desire.
Watch for updates on the start of White Pine's summer season.
