The National Weather Service out of Riverton is advising that a storm system will move into Western Wyoming Monday night bringing some rain and mountain snow. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will occur across East-Central and Southern Wyoming. Thunderstorms may bring gusty winds of up to 50 mph, along with possible hail with stronger storms.
Daytime temperatures are expected to drop into the 40s and 50s. Night-time temps will be in the 40s and 50s.
East of the Continental Divide, the storm is expected to bring more than six inches of snow to the Northern Bighorns and Absarokas above 8,000 feet. Lower elevations could see up to an inch of snow also.

New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible. Monday Night:: Scattered rain showers before midnight, then scattered snow showers. Some thunder is also possible. Cloudy, with a low around 31. Breezy, with a west northwest wind between 18 and 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
Tuesday: Scattered rain and snow showers. Cloudy, with a high near 44. Breezy, with a northwest wind between 17 and 21 mph, with gusts as high as 31 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. Little or no snow accumulation expected. Tuesday Night: A slight chance of rain and snow showers before midnight, then a slight chance of snow showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 24. Blustery, with a north northwest wind between 10 and 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Wednesday: A slight chance of rain and snow showers before noon, then a slight chance of rain showers. Some thunder is also possible. Partly cloudy, with a high near 55. North northwest wind between 5 and 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%. Wednesday Night: A slight chance of rain showers before midnight, then a slight chance of snow showers. Some thunder is also possible. Partly cloudy, with a low around 28. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
