Big Piney Chuckwagon Days July 3 & 4th

Big Piney will be holding their annual Chuckwagon Days celebration Tuesday and Wednesday, July 3rd & 4th.
July 3rd-Lil’ Buckaroo Rodeo: Big Piney Rodeo Arena, 6:00 PM. For kids up through age 13. Stick Horse Barrels, Goat Tail Tying, Calf Roping, Mutton Bustin’, Bareback Riding, Calf Riding, Mini Bull Riding. Limited number of entries available. Entry forms due on or before Monday, June 25th. Must sign release form and pay entry amount in full to be entered. Sponsored by EnCana USA. Free T-Shirts for all contestants and buckles for the winners. Entry forms are available at area businesses and on the website, www.chuckwagondays.com. No phone entries will be accepted. Call 307-276-3358 for more information.
July 4th:
5th Annual Chuckwagon Chug 5K and 10K Walk/Run: 8 AM, before the Big Piney Parade. Start/Finish in the Big Piney High School Parking Lot. All contestants get a free t-shirt and goodie bag. Pre-register for $20. $25 day of the race. Call Gudrid Espenscheid to pre-register 307-276-5441, or e-mail gesp@hughes.net. Race day registration from 7:30 to 8:00 AM on July 4th before the race. Portion of proceeds go to benefit the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Wyoming. Prizes for top men, women and under 18 finishers. Sponsored by Wood Canyon Races and Nurses for the Health of It.
11:00 AM: Parade down main street in Big Piney.
Noon: BBQ at the Fairgrounds. Free! Donations accepted.
1:00 PM: 73rd Annual Chuckwagon Days Rodeo (WRA/IMPRA Sanctioned) This is the highest paying rodeo in the Mountain West over the 4th of July! Rodeo starts at 1:00 PM. Slack Wednesday morning at 7:00 am. Call 307-276-3358 for more info about the Rodeo.
