Thirty-eight participants from 8 – 18 years old were coached and encouraged by Josh Davis, Olympic swimmer, on Saturday the 25th at the PINEDALE AQUATIC CENTER. Note how Josh demonstrates the “streamline” position on the competition pool bulkhead that spans the 25 yard width of the pool. Our local USA swim club hosted the event which drew swimmers from Pinedale, Big Piney, Jackson, Kemmerer, Douglas, Greybull, Laramie and even Nevada!
Meanwhile, our own Pinedale High School Girls who, along with Big Piney High School Girls, comprise the SUBLETTE COUNTY SWIM TEAM swam at their first meet of the season in Rawlins. Caitlin Baxley qualified in 4 events, Brooke Butner in 2 events and Jo’Lee Springman in 1 event. Brooke had the 6th fastest time of the day out of 129 girls and the fastest 3A time! Coach Bob reports that all of the girls had a lifetime best time in at least one event and he has great hopes for the year. Way to go GIRLS!!
