Moondance Diner Update
by Pinedale Online!
December 25, 2007
Casper Star-Tribune writer, Jeff Gearino, has been following the saga of the Moondance Diner since the story unfolded in August about its move from New York to tiny LaBarge, Wyoming.
Jeff has a new article with an update on the Moondance from Cheryl and Vince Pierce: “The couple bought a double lot this fall in downtown LaBarge where the diner will sit. Cheryl said the lot is also the original homestead of her great-great grandmother, Mary Shinsel, and her husband, Wil, who purchased the property in 1912.”
Winter, and the hoops of obtaining financing, have pushed back the planned reopening of the Moondance until spring of 2008. The footing for the building has been dug and they hope to pour the foundation soon.
