Here’s a report on the snowmobile conditions for the Upper Green portion of the Continental Divide Snowmobile Trail. This report is as of Sunday evening, from Traci Voss, owner of the Green River Guest Ranch, The Place.
“The groomer just came by The Place this afternoon, so the trails are being groomed. Trail riding is ok, not the best yet, but if you stay on the trails for now, riding is possible. The snow definitely gets deeper higher up, I don’t have any reports about how deep yet. Rocks are still showing, so probably not ready for serious off-trail riding yet. Steady snow for the next few weeks will make things good for the week of New Year. We got probably 5 inches or so last night and today.
We are renting machines, reservations are highly recommended. We still have cabins available for New year's Eve. We will have music until 1:00 am (no cover charge) and a special New Year's Eve Dinner. Reservations are also highly recommended for dinner. We will be closed Christmas Day.
We don’t offer packages, but cabins can be rented by the night and machines can be rented by the day. The restaurant is open for three meals a day.” – Traci Voss, Green River Guest Ranch/The Place
