Pinedale 5th graders head to Washington D.C.
Educational Adventure
January 26, 2008
Sue Shenefelt, 5th grade parent, plans to take a group of Pinedale Middle School students to visit Washington D.C. during the 2008 summer vacation. The trip is part of an EF Smithsonian educational tour.
Mrs. Shenefelt said, “It’s important for students not to just learn, but to really experience history — I want them to marvel at The White House and set foot on The Mall, and see the great National Air and Space Museum. Everyone should see the view from atop the Washington Monument and feel the excitement of seeing the National Capitol at night.”
The five-day tour also includes stops at Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Ford’s Theatre and the International Spy Museum and more.
