The Pinedale Fine Arts Council has a great line-up for the spring 2008 season!
February 8: The Utah Symphony The Pinedale Fine Arts Council is proud to present one of the most engaging orchestras in the nation - The Utah Symphony - live for one night only Friday, Feb. 8, 2008 at the Pinedale Auditorium, at 7:30 pm. The Pinedale performance will be conducted by David Cho. The Utah Symphony will also be performing for the Pinedale Elementary and Middle school earlier in the day. Tickets for the Feb. 8 performance go on sale later this month and will be available at their usual outlets.
March Film Festival Each March, the Pinedale Fine Arts Council teams up with the Sublette County Library to present the March Film Festival. Each Saturday evening, they present one free film in the Pinedale Library Lovatt Room. The library provides free popcorn, soda, candy and the movie. March 6: Diane Ferlatte Recently nominated for a Grammy-Award, California's Diane Ferlatte will spend three days in Sublette County in early March performing spoken word residencies in the Pinedale, Big Piney and LaBarge Elementary Schools. Diane will also give a community performance on March 6 at 7:30 pm in the Pinedale Library Lovatt Room as part of PFAC's Purple Moose Coffee House Series. Tickets are $5 at the door. March 7-8: Terry Tempest Williams Jackson-based author, Terry Tempest Williams will be in Pinedale as part of a University of Wyoming creative writing tour across the state. Williams will give a reading on the evening of Friday March 7 and, with grad students from the university, will conduct a writing workshop on Saturday March 8 at the Sublette County Visitors Center in Pinedale (times to be announced).
July 20: Hamlet Wyoming Shakespeare Company Will perform “Hamlet”. PFAC has presented the group the last five summers in Pinedale.
