7th Millennium Arts Award

The Pinedale Fine Arts Council announces the Seventh Annual Millennium Arts Award.
This award recognizes an outstanding Pinedale High School student in the Visual Arts. Any student in high school, or home school equivalent, is qualified to apply for this award.
The winner of this Award will create a small sculpture which will be caste in aluminum, and attached to the Millennium Sculpture in front of the Pinedale High School. The winner will also have his or her name on a plaque affixed to the above sculpture. Upon completion of the sculpture, the student shall receive a $100.00 cash prize.
Applications must include, on a single 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper:
1) One paragraph explaining why art is important to you.
2) One paragraph explaining your idea for a small scale caste aluminum sculpture, to be placed on the steel and aluminum Millennium Sculpture on the front lawn of the Pinedale High School. (Note: paragraphs should be typed, if possible.)
3) A sketch of the above idea.
Applications are due no later than Friday, March 21, 2008.
Applications may be returned to the Pinedale High School Art Room or Dire Wolf Studios at 221 S. Sublette Ave. in Pinedale.
