Sublette County will not only host U.S. Senator John Barrasso and Wyoming Republican Party Chairman Fred Parady at the “Sublette Social,” but an impressive lineup of Republican hopefuls are slated to attend as well.
Cynthia Lummis, Mark Gordon and Swede Nelson are all seeking the GOP nomination for the U.S. House seat Barbara Cubin will leave vacant. All three are planning to attend the Sublette County Republican Party fundraising event. Sublette County’s own Bill Winney, also a candidate for the U.S. House seat, has an unresolved scheduling conflict, so it’s not known if he’ll be able to attend. Likewise, state legislator Dan Zwonitzer of Cheyenne is also seeking the same seat, and isn’t sure if the legislature will be finished in time for the long drive to Pinedale.
The Sublette Social will be held Saturday, March 8 at 6 p.m. at Rendezvous Pointe in Pinedale. The Sublette Social will be a fundraising event hosted by the party, with Wyoming Republican Party Chairman Fred Parady serving as emcee, and U.S. Senator John Barrasso the keynote speaker.
Snacks and refreshments will be served, and politics will be the topic of discussion. It's a great chance to mix and mingle with elected officials and those seeking the Republican vote. Statewide political candidates are invited to attend, as are state legislative candidates, and will host booths at the social to distribute information about their campaigns and seek donations. Throughout the evening, candidates will be given time to address the entire crowd.
While only Republican candidates are invited to attend, all members of the public are invited to come over to meet, mix and mingle. There will be a $10 cover charge, plus a cash bar. Don't forget your checkbook, because we'll be passing the hat for the party!
