The Gate on US 191/189 at Daniel is up letting cars go north to Jackson
Friday, 7:30 AM Update: We're not sure what to tell you about US 191/189 from Daniel north. Is it open or closed?
The storm abated and snowplow drivers got the road in good shape by 11:00 PM last night, so they opened the gate across the road on our end at the Daniel Junction.
But the WYDOT website road report was still showing the road as closed even at 5:00 AM this morning.
To settle it so we'd know what to tell you, Bob Rule from KPIN drove out from Pinedale to see for himself if the gate was open. He confirmed the gate is up, so he took this picture for proof. This is as of 5:30 AM Friday morning.
The gate is really up, people are driving the road, so it appears they are letting people through north on US 189/191 even though the WYDOT website doesn't reflect that road opening yet.
