The National Weather Service out of Riverton predicts the very warm conditions to continue into Tuesday.

Well-above average temperatures will result in significant snowmelt in the mountains. Expect an increase in water levels in rivers, streams and creeks as a result.

The above-average temperatures are expected to come to an end Wednesday afternoon as a strong cold front moves through the area. This mid-week storm system has the potential to bring significant rainfall across the lower elevations with high mountain snowfall Wednesday night into Thursday.

Strong to potentially severe thunderstorms may also accompany this cold front as it moves through. Strong thunderstorms are possible through the weekend with the next best chance being Sunday afternoon and evening, especially east of the Continental Divide.
