by Sublette County Republican Party press release
June 3, 2008
The Sublette County Republican Party was well represented at last weekend’s Wyoming Republican state convention, with six voting delegates in attendance, serving on committees and fully participating in three days of convention activities.
Representing the county were Cat Urbigkit of Big Piney, Katie McClure of Boulder, Dave and Mary Lankford of Pinedale, and Joel and Susan Bousman of Boulder.
The highlight of the state convention occurred during Saturday’s session when the GOP honored its “heroes of the heart” in a special recognition. Big Piney’s Paul Scherbel received recognition during the ceremony for his “inspiring leadership and service to our country, our state and our party.”
Sublette County was also made proud by Hoback resident Bill Winney. Winney gave a great speech as part of his run for the Republican nomination for the U.S. House.
Sublette County was also popular during the “Taste of Southwest Wyoming” convention event as it distributed 200 pieces of Tonia Hoffman’s Sweet Nothing’s candy, which Tonia crafts at her LaBarge home.
