8:30 AM: Sublette County Health Officer Dr. Tom Johnston has issued an Air Alert for eastern Sublette County for people who have compromised lung functions to stay inside and restrict physical activity until smoke from the New Fork fire is abated.
"People who have pulmonary problems should not stress their lungs through exercise, and stay indoors as much as possible until the smoke abates or blows out of the area. If they experience increased difficulty in breathing, please --promptly-- contact their physician for medical advice," he said.
This report is primarily for people in eastern Sublette County. The alert is active while atmospheric smoke pollution is noticeably visible and affecting air quality in the area.
