Rain and Shine The giant tent provided great shelter from the pounding sun in the early afternoon, and later, from the pounding rain and thunder. Aside from the food line, the schoolhouse itself remained empty.

This Sunday, community members gathered at the Historic Daniel Schoolhouse for the annual Old Timer's Picnic.

Starting at noon, picnic-goers milled in with side-dishes in hand and friends at their sides. By 1 p.m., 100 people had attended, and music started up shortly thereafter.

The afternoon started sunny and hot, but just after 2 p.m., thunderclouds rolled in, and the sizable crowds diminished as the afternoon progressed.

Dig In! The plethora of desserts made for a particularly popular corner of the Historic Daniel Schoolhouse.	Good food, good company Bob and Karen Rule help themselves to the endless supply of meat on the table.	Hello, my name is ... Bob Dew's shirt fits the Old Timer's picnic perfectly. The front reads "Hello, my name is Bob," upside down, so "When I forget, I can read it, see?"
Summer Time Blues The band belts out "Summer Time Blues" as community members settle in for a bit of entertainment after the meal.
