All-Community ‘Fall Follies’ Oct. 24
Fundraiser for A Woman’s Work group
October 10, 2008
On Friday, October 24th, there will be a special All Community "Fall Follies", a fundraising event for "A Woman’s Work".
"A Woman’s Work" is a program started in January 2008 by women in Big Piney, Marbleton and LaBarge as a nonprofit foundation to help women in precarious circumstances. The program provides financial help for women with immediate needs not met by other sources.
Organizers started with an effort to get 100 women to donate $100 each to the cause. They easily met their goal. They hope to get participants to re-up on their commitment and participation to the program. There will be a progress report on work that has already been done, and their plans for the future.
Cash Bar onsite; hors d’oeuvres will be provided. Admission is free. Donations to AWW gratefully accepted. There will be lip sync to "generational" music. To participate in the lip syncing, contact Jennifer Meeks (307-276-4745) or Jeannie Lockwood at the library (307-276-3515) by October 17.
