‘Meet the Mushers’ Banquet Sunday, Feb. 1

The Pinedale Stage Stop "Meet the Mushers" Banquet will be held on Sunday, February 1, at Stockman’s Restaurant and Lounge, 117 West Pine Street in Pinedale, from 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm. $7 Dinner – Halftime’s Kinnison Calcutta and presentations.
The IPSSSDR’s Pinedale/Cora Stage Stop will be on Monday, February 2nd. The Start will be at the Sublette County Visitor Center, 19 East Pine Street, beginning at 10:00 am. Teams will leave the Visitor Center and follow Pine Street to the American Legion Park and out of town. The course Finish will be at the Upper Green Parking area at the end of the paved portion of Hwy 352 north of Cora. There will be breakfasts and hot beverages available at the Visitor Center near the start line. The northbound lanes of US 191 will be closed between 10:00 am and noon for the mushers to use. Two first two blocks of north Tyler Avenue will be used for the dog team staging area during the race start. Motorists should plan to plan their driving to reroute around the sled dog race Monday morning.
The Big Piney ‘Ice Box of the Nation’ Sled Dog Celebration 2009 for the Big Piney Stage Stop – IPSSSDR will be held on Monday night, February 2nd at the Marbleton Senior Center. The Big Piney Stage will take place on Tuesday, February 3rd from the Middle Piney Parking Lot starting at 9 a.m. This will be a loop race, so teams will return to the same parking lot approximately 3-4 hours after the Big Piney Start.
