John Ball 911 Fire Chief John Ball drove the #911, sponsored by the Big Piney/Marbleton Fire Department, during the grand entry. During the derby the #911 car was driven by Brandon Turner, who won 3rd Place in the derby taking home $500 for the team.

Fundraiser for the volunteer fire department

The Big Piney/Marbleton Fire Department held their first annual Demolition Derby as part of the Sublette County Fair on Saturday afternoon. The event was a fundraiser for the volunteer fire department.

Eiden’s Construction in Marbleton offered FREE stock cars for entrants. Ten contestants entered the derby.

$2000 added money was put into the pot. There were cash prizes for the three best painted cars and $500 to the driver of any rolled over car (none did).

After all the crashing and destruction, John Montz, driving the #32 car, was the last car running.
