There’s a good chance that moms and dads might just be stocking up on their own collection of pencils, notebooks and scissors in Pinedale this September. The Sublette County Library at 155 S. Tyler Ave is offering two creative workshops. Sign up has begun for both a six week Altered Books Workshop and an inspiring weekend of writing events designed to help folks explore their literary voice and get writing. The Altered Books Workshop begins Wednesday, Sept. 9th and continues Wednesday mornings through October 14th, 9–11 am. This unique class will teach various techniques to reclaim old books and turn them into memorable pieces of artwork. Class size is limited and there is a $15 supply fee. "There’s no reason kids should be the only ones having fun", said Juli Winthers, Outreach Coordinator for the Sublette County Library. "Nothing like having a little glue stuck to your fingers to help one not take life so seriously". For those ready to get that novel from inside their head and out through their fingertips Wyoming author Tina Welling, (Crybaby Ranch, Fairy Tale Blues) will be at the library for an inspiring weekend of writing events, September 25th and 26th, designed to help folks explore their literary voice and begin writing.
