Art Classes at Sublette BOCES
For youth and adults

The Sublette Board of Cooperative Education Services (BOCES) is offering several art classes for youth and adults.
Kids Art 1 Classes for grades K-3 (Only 2 Spots Left)
Students in grades 1-3 will be introduced to different media and art materials over a period of seven weeks. Students will be taught basic art concepts but focus will be on experimenting, exploring and nurturing their creativity.
Dates: Fridays, starting Oct. 23 - Dec. 11
Times: 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Location: BOCES Classroom
Class Size: 8 max
Ages: Children in grades K-3
Fee: $10
Kids Art 2 Classes for grades 4 and up
This class is designed to educate developing artists 4th grade and up. Students will be introduced to a variety of new mediums such as tempera, learning core concepts of art that will help them develop a good foundation as an artist.
Dates: Mondays, starting Oct. 26 - Nov. 30
Times: 3:30 to 5 p.m.

Class Size: 12 max
Ages: Children in grades 4 and up

Learning to Draw
This beginning drawing class will help adults of all ages gain specific skills to improve their drawing over a six-week period. We will cover contour drawing, searching line, gesture and value studies. Students will also receive a sketchbook to practice technical skills and free drawings. The class will also provide time for students to work on individual projects with teacher assistance and feedback.

Times: 5:15 to 6:45 p.m.

Beginning with Watercolor Painting
This is a beginning class designed to familiarize adult students with the watercolor medium and supplies. Students will be provided a watercolor kit that will include a watercolor paint, two brushes, palette, and paper. We will cover basic wash techniques, brush control, composition and idea development.

Times: 7 to 9 p.m.
