The Sublette County Library and Pinedale Fine Arts Council are proud to announce the lineup for the 2010 March Film Festival which kicks off March 6. Films will be shown in Blu-Ray quality every Saturday night in March (and one night in April) at the Sublette County Library Lovatt Room beginning at 7:00 p.m. Admission is free as are refreshments (popcorn, soda, etc.) which will be provided. Kids must be accompanied by an adult.
March 6th — 500 Days of Summer An unusual romantic comedy about a woman who doesn't believe true love exists, and the young man who falls for her. Nominated for two Golden Globes. Rated PG-13.
March 13th — Man on Wire A look at tightrope walker Philippe Petit's 1974 high-wire routine between the World Trade Center's twin towers. 2009 Oscar winner of Best Documentary; numerous other awards. Rated PG-13.
March 20th — Inglourious Basterds In Nazi-occupied France, a band of Jewish-American soldiers known as "The Basterds" spread fear throughout the Third Reich. Directed by Quentin Tarantino and starring Brad Pitt. Nominated for eight Oscars. Rated R for graphic violence.
March 27th — A Christmas Tale (Un Conte de Noël) A unique dramatic comedy about a dysfunctional family, an unconventional situation and feeling most uncomfortable within the familiarity of family roles. French with English subtitles. Starring Catherine Deneuve. Not rated.
April 3rd — The Hurt Locker Forced to play a dangerous waiting game in the turmoil of war in Iraq, an elite Army bomb squad unit must come together in a city where everyone is a potential enemy and every object could be a deadly bomb. Nominated for nine Oscars. Rated R.
