Connie Wilbert, Wyoming Home Performance program manager will introduce Wyoming Energy Council’s efforts to create a growing network of certified contractors and connect them with homeowners taking advantage of the Wyoming Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program. This is an excellent opportunity for local contractors to distinguish themselves from their competitors in the market. Wyoming Home Performance, creating a sustainable, recession-resistant market throughout the State of Wyoming for the diagnosis and treatment of homes to make them healthy, comfortable and energy efficient.
Amelia Kelso, Dept of Workforce Services Career Readiness Certificate manager, will offer an overview of the assessment-based credential that gives employers, educators and job seekers a uniform measure of foundational skills. The three areas of focus in the assessment are Reading for Information, Locating Information and Applied Mathematics. The three levels of achievement, from highest to lowest, are gold, silver and bronze. Testing for the Career Readiness Certificate is being administered May 11th in Pinedale, Wyoming. http://wyomingworkforce.org/crc/
Tobi Wickham, who is administrator of Dept of Workforce Services - Business, Training and Outreach Division, will give us a summary of the available educational opportunities such as the Employment & Training for Self-Sufficiency Program, Workforce Development Training Fund Program, the Community Workforce & Volunteer Partnership Program and the Workforce Analysis for Future Investment project.
