River user shuttle between Hoback Junction to Alpine by Bridger-Teton National Forest April 5, 2010 Jackson, Wyo. – The Bridger-Teton National Forest, Jackson Ranger District, is soliciting bids for the operation and maintenance of a commercial shuttle service to move people, vehicles and equipment between river access sites along the Snake River from Hoback Junction to Alpine, WY. A special use permit is required to do any business on federal land. This prospectus invites applications from anyone interested in operating a shuttle service on USDA Forest Service lands occurring in the Snake River Canyon as managed by the Bridger-Teton National Forest. One permit to provide these services will be awarded. This action was authorized in the river planning process that is outlined in the August 19, 1996 Final Area Analysis, May 15, 1997 Environmental Assessment and resulting October 21, 1997 Decision Notice. |
