Tuesday Update: Hiker Bodie Moody still missing
Public asked to avoid search area

Editor's Note: The Sublette County Sheriff’s Office issued a press release update on Tuesday, July 20th, on the status of missing hiker Bodie Moody. He remains missing from the Boulder Lake area and the search is continuing. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call the Sublette County Sheriff's Office at 307-367-4378. Below is the text of the release:

Sublette County Sheriff’s Office Press Release – July 20, 2010
At 5:24 p.m. on July 17, 2010, 28 year old Bodie Moody of Rock Springs Wyoming, was reported lost by his sister, Mya Boren also of Rock Springs. Moody and family were hiking in the Boulder Lake area, attempting to reach the Burnt Lake area. After hiking for sometime Bodie moody decided to return to this truck and approximately 10 minutes later his hiking party decided to return to the truck also. Upon their arrival at the truck they discovered that Bodie was not there. The hiking party then contacted the Sublette County Sheriff’s Office.
Tip Top Search and Rescue teams responded around 8 p.m. that same evening. The search for the missing hiker was started immediately. The searchers are using helicopters, dogs, ATVs and persons on foot in an attempt to find the missing hiker. Bodie Moody is 5’8" and weighs 230 lbs, with bleached short blond hair. Bodie Moody also was carrying a cell phone. His cell phone records indicate that he has not used his cell since he has been missing. He was last seen wearing a sleeveless black, with a red stripe T-shirt, and black shorts. He was also carrying a camel back and a bottle of water.
Search and Rescue personnel state that one of the dogs alerted to Bodie Moody’s scent sometime on July 18th in the search area but few other clues have been found.
At this time Tip Top Search and Rescue are asking citizens to stay away from this area as this could possibly confuse the dogs that are being used.
Tip Top Search and Rescue are still continuing to search in the Boulder, Burnt Lake area today for the missing hiker.
