Nordic ski trail grooming report – Dec. 2, 2010
December 3, 2010
Editor's Note, 12/3/10: This report has been updated with new information on plowed parking.
Nordic ski trail grooming condition report as of Thursday, December 2, 2010, from groomer Mike Looney.
Kelly Park: Groomed. Skating track set. No classic track yet. Only about 6 inches of snow, but skiable. Use caution, not much padding if you fall. Use old skis.
Old road behind Nordic barn: 6" of snow, flat track dug. This is the best skiing place for people with dogs.
White Pine Surveyor Park Loop to Moose Ridge: Groomed with classic tracks. About 1 foot of snow.
Parking areas (updated) have been plowed at Kelly Park, Sweeney Creek parking lot and at the overlook pull-out.
Other notes for all areas: Lots of deer around, and moose, especially in the lower Surveyor Park area – always use caution around wildlife.
