Arctic air has brought bitterly cold temperatures to the Upper Green River Valley for the past several days, and will continue until the end of the week. Overnight temperatures dropped to between 30 and 40 below zero in Pinedale, Big Piney and Bondurant.
Anyone who must be outside is advised to dress in layers to cover exposed body parts. Travelers are advised to keep emergency gear and warm clothes in their vehicle in case they become stranded.
A turn to warmer weather is expected to start today (Wednesday).
