The newly formed Invasives Task Force will be hosting an open house at the NRCS/SCCD Conference Room on Monday, February 28th, from 9:00 am – 7:00 pm. We are asking that all people that have knowledge of either cheatgrass locations or other invasive weed species to stop by and assist us in locating them on a map. Please bring data if you have it or we can incorporate your locations in our map.

This exercise is an effort to combine all known cheatgrass locations in our county in advance of a survey to be completed later this summer sponsored by the Upper Green River Basin Sage-Grouse Local Work Group.

Please circulate this invitation widely to those you know who can contribute to the effort.

Also available will be the county treatment map that we are soliciting input on as mapping well known raven nest locations.

If you are unable to make the open house but have spatial data that you can share, please provide it by that date. Snacks and refreshments will be provided by Sublette County Weed and Pest.

We are interested in everyone’s input on all land ownership.
