The Pinedale Aquatic Center (PAC) celebrated its third birthday with a "PAC Free Day" on Sunday, February 13th. The public was welcome to come in and tour the facilities without paying an admission fee. In addition to the open house, the PAC hosted a Valentine’s Farmer’s Market in the afternoon with vendors selling baked goods, Valentine’s gifts, jewelry, photography, home-grown goods, hand-crafted items, flowers, gifts and more, in addition to informational tables about local activities.

The Pinedale Aquatic Center opened in February 2008. The facility was built by Sublette County School District #1 for school and public activities. The Center offers two pools: a competition lap pool with a diving board and a leisure pool complete with a three-story slide, spraying submarine, tumble-buckets and a current channel. PAC also offers a 32-foot rock climbing wall, a fitness area with the latest cardio equipment, two racquetball courts, a 1/12 mile indoor walking track, a multi-purpose gymnasium, a party room, instructor’s classroom, child care area and three outdoor tennis courts. It offers a large variety of exercise and fitness classes and programs for youth and adults.

There was a special public session in the afternoon with Sublette County School District #1 Superintendent Jay Harnack to answer questions about how the optional Recreation and BOCES mills and Big Piney Sublette County School District #9 equalization proposal affects Pinedale Sublette School District #1 citizens and programs.
