Ultra Petroleum has awarded Sublette County’s Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) branch a $3,500 grant to help support the development and professionally supported youth mentoring relationships in Pinedale, Marbleton and Big Piney. This grant will provide BBBS with funding for operating expenses, direct services, and youth activities in our community.
The mission of BBBS is to provide children with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever, and our vision is that all children achieve success in life. BBBS helps create mentoring relationships for all children who need and want them, contributing to brighter futures, better schools, and a stronger community. The Sublette County BBBS branch began in 2005 with five "Big" and "Little" mentoring relationships, or "matches." Last year, BBBS served 50 children in Sublette County.
"We are very grateful of the support and vision of Ultra. With their financial support, our programs can continue to grow throughout Sublette County, enabling us to provide mentors to children in the county who need a caring adult in their lives," said Susan Anderson, the Outreach Coordinator for BBBS. With the generous support of Ultra Petroleum, BBBS can continue to create opportunities for a better life for the youth of Sublette County.
