Nonresident Deer and Antelope application deadline is March 15
by Wyoming Game & Fish
March 4, 2011
With the nonresident application deadline for deer and antelope licenses coming up on March 15, the Game and Fish reminds hunters that applications must be received at the Cheyenne office by 5 p.m. on the deadline date.
Most applications are now coming in online and nearly 85 percent of nonresident hunters applied online during the recently completed elk application period. For those hunters who choose to apply through conventional mail, the Game and Fish reminds hunters that applications must be received in the Cheyenne office, not postmarked, by the March 15 deadline.
The Game and Fish encourages online applications as it eliminates the uncertainty of mailed applications being received by the deadline date. In addition it improves accuracy and applications can be processed in a more timely manner.
In addition, a hunter who may have applied for an area and then changed his mind on hunt area or license type selection can go into the Game and Fish website http://gf.state.wy.us and modify the application online up to 15 business days before the published tentative drawing date. This feature is also available for paper applications once the application data is entered into the system. This year, the last day applications can be modified is June 3.
Drawing odds for the different hunt areas for 2010 can also be found on the Game and Fish website. Click on hunting, then on drawing odds. Persons with additional questions on deer and antelope hunting and the application process can call (307) 777-4600 for more information.
