Sandbagging help wanted for Boulder Ranches June 25th
Boulder Creek flooding around homes in the area
June 24, 2011
Sublette County Emergency Management Coordinator, Jim Mitchell, is asking for volunteers to help fill sandbags on Saturday, June 25th to help residents in the Boulder Ranches area who are experiencing some flooding from Boulder Creek. Crews will be filling and moving sandbags to help protect homes in the low-lying area near the creek. They will have the sand bagging machine onsite to help with filling the bags. They will be starting around 8:00AM and expect to be working for about half the day.
Anyone interested in helping is asked to call Sublette County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch at 307-367-4378 and tell them of your availability. They will call out volunteers. All ages welcome. Participants should plan to come self-sufficient for their own lunch and water needs.
