BIG PINEY, JULY 18, 2011 – The Big Piney Ranger District of the Bridger-Teton National Forest has temporarily closed the Sacajawea Campground located near Middle Piney Lake approximately 28 miles west of Big Piney, Wyoming

The campground has been closed due to excessive high water that is coming up over the road making it impassable.

"The way the roads and culverts are washing out have made the entrance to the campground unsafe to drive," said recreation specialist Mary Brown. There is no timeframe for when the campground will be reopened.
