The Pinedale Fine Arts Council is proud to present Jalan Crossland live in concert on Friday, Aug. 5, at 6:00 in the American Legion Park in Pinedale, WY. Local singer/songwriter Jared Rogerson will open the show with a full set featuring his 5-piece band. Admission to the show is free!
Jalan Crossland, of Ten Sleep, WY is one of the most respected guitarists in the country and his name remains at the top of the list when mentioning great alt-country and Americana acts of the past decade. Crossland's songs are vivid, first-hand accounts of life in the small towns and backcountry of 21st century America. Like the people they portray, the songs are tough and honest. They also reflect the tremendous heart and soul of their colorful characters. Even where the warp and weave is of hardship or heartbreak, the songs are threaded with strings of optimism and humor. Additionally, Crossland puts on a live show that is filled with energy and humor. Crossland will be performing with his touring band which festures Shaun Kelly on standup bass and Andy Phreaner on drums.
Opening the Aug. 5 concert will be local singer/songwriter Jared Rogerson. With inspiration from Rodeos and Rocky Mountains backed by an array of musical influences from Chris LeDoux to the Grateful Dead, Jared Rogerson’s lyrics are embellished with character and an honest edge, and deepened by the unmistakable tone of genuine experience. The result is a unique brand of "Western Country Music" outfitted to portray life in the contemporary American West with refreshing originality.
The Aug. 5 concert will conclude PFAC’s Summer Series and as this is a park setting, please feel free to bring a chair, cooler and don’t forget sunscreen. PFAC will kick off its regular season ticket series on Sept. 10 with New York comedy ensemble The Watercoolers.
